‘Passion’, is the first production in a new arts vision for the Plymouth and Devonport Methodist Circuit. The one act play, written and produced by the new Performing Arts Mission Enabler and devised and directed with her husband, the Reverend Darren Middleton, has been postponed from 2020 due to COVID. Passion is a powerful representation of Jesus’s last few days on earth, depicting the harsh reality of the cruelty and suffering he endured and ending on his glorious resurrection. Underscored with emotive music by Simeon Wood, ‘Passion’ brings to life the wonderful story of the one who came to Earth to die, in order to give us life in abundance.
The staging of the play enhances the intensity of the drama – be prepared to be transported to Jerusalem to witness, up close and personal, the unfolding of events right under your noses. As well as being a powerful performance, ‘Passion’ is an effective resource for Holy Week, engaging with the journey to the cross to its fullest possible measure. (Due to the nature of the violence experienced by Jesus, the play is not suitable for children under the age of twelve years old.)
Join with us during Holy Week, as we take Jesus out of the stained-glass window and discover the depth of amazing grace…

Passion – Holy Week 2022 – Important information about tickets
Our first PAM circuit production of Passion – postponed from 2020 – will take place (God-willing!) during Holy Week 2022. For anyone who has tickets, please contact the Box Office to arrange to exchange your tickets for new tickets (we ask you to stick to the same days, if possible, to keep things simple). This is to ensure that everyone is aware of the new dates and NEW VENUE (Pennycross Methodist Church) and to release spaces for anyone who is sadly unable to attend for any reason.
For anyone who hadn’t already purchased tickets, please watch this space as we will try our best to make some more tickets available. Thank you to everyone who has patiently waited with their original tickets – we really appreciate your support.
